So my graduation party was exactly one year ago today, 12th July 2018 alhamdulillah. For that reason, I’m dedicating today’s post to my graduation cake.
Yes, I know I may biased. But I do have to say that my graduation cake was pretty insane. And actually not because it was mine, like genuinely not because of that. But the reason why I think that is because I studied English Literature, right, and my cake was a – it was a book! Is there anything more fitting than that?! Alright maybe it’s not the best to have ever been made ever, but it’s pretty amazing. Especially to me.
A lady from Instagram who’s very local called A 2 Z Yumm Cakes made my cake and it was delicious man. It looked amazing, it tasted amazing and it made for amazing pictures, too. Alhamdulillah. A true triple threat (a bit of alliteration for you there – don’t say my degree went to waste, okay).
It was a regular vanilla cake, but the icing and decor were definitely the showstopper. That’s not to say it didn’t taste amazing, as it definitely did. It was nice and soft and spongy inside. Man. I actually can’t remember if it tasted fully homemade, but I do remember that I genuinely really, really liked the taste of it. And everyone else did, too, which is how you know it’s a winner!
But the attention to detail was insane, like the time and effort that went into making sure the ‘pages’ looked realistic and the fact that the finished product genuinely looks like a book is just mad. I absolutely loved my graduation cake alhamdulillah. I don’t think I’m ever going to be over it tbh.
Thank you again to A 2 Z Yumm Cakes for the amazing cake, it genuinely did make my graduation party that bit more special and I really do appreciate that alhamdulillah.
Thank you for reading! What do you think of this cake? I’d love to know in the comments below!
