RF Patisserie is a cute Halal cafe in Bolton, Greater Manchester. The cafe itself opened on 9th January 2019 and by the looks of it, it’s done really well so far Ma Shaa Allah. From the food to the interior, it really is a gorgeous cafe. You may have seen pictures of the cafe floating around on Instagram as it does quite well on there & that’s where I found out about it, too.
So my sister and I recently went to RF Patisserie. My sister had been before but I’d never been. I’ve wanted to go for a while now and I finally gots to visit woohoo. The decor is just gorgeous. It has a very Instagrammable aesthetic, with mirrors and flowers (lots of flowers), including a flower wall which you could be seated right next to, if you’re lucky. Upstairs is a waiting area, which is where the infamous flower swing lives.
I think Manchester needed something like this. We needed a pretty Halal cafe where we could go and get some delicious food and get some nice pictures, too. Surely London shouldn’t have everything now, should it!
The floor’s pretty nice, too, but I’ll be honest, I wasn’t focusing on the floor too much. The flowers around were what I had my eyes on. And the mirrors (which I didn’t actually get any pictures of *cries*) because they were just so clean and reflected the flower wall so nicely. The mirrors are right opposite the flower wall and it just looks so good; everything ties in together so nicely.
Now On to the food. We ordered:
East meets west inspired afternoon tea
As the name suggests, this wasn’t a regular afternoon tea. There was the usual sweet treats, however there were also samosas, beef sliders and chicken tender pieces on this afternoon tea, too. One of my personal favourites had to be the cheese and tomato croissants. Like genuinely, I don’t normally have croissants, I’m not a huge fan of them at all but these were so nice! They were just so crispy and yummy. I may not be a big croissant fan, but I guess I’m definitely a fan of the croissants from here.
I didn’t have much else from the afternoon tea. I did have a beef slider, but am not a big beef fan in general tbh. We ended up taking quite a lot of the food home as we couldn’t finish it. I remember having the trifle the next day and that was very sweet, a bit sweeter than I would have preferred, but I can’t complain as that was the only negative for me.
Peri chicken lasagne pie
Lasagne pie? Is it just me or have you never heard of lasagne pie either? It was essentially just lasagne but in a bowl. But whatever, I’m not complaining, I liked the sound of it. And it tasted amazing Ma Shaa Allah. The lasagne comes with garlic bread and fries, but I had it with mash instead. I guess I was feeling sick of fries at this point lol. The mash was tasty, the garlic bread was gorgeous, and the lasagne was soooo good man. It’s fair to say this was a huge hit.
C & C roll
My sister suggested we get this, as I think it’s one of the things RF Patisserie’s most known for, so we got this too. In the menu it’s described as ‘Our delicious in house marinated sesame chicken, jalapeños, spicy mayo and salad served in a soft baguette’. Now I’m gonna be honest, by the time I was tasting this I was already full. But I still liked it, it tasted nice. I don’t think I fully appreciated it as I was already full. However, as I mentioned, we got some of the food packed and took it home. When I had the C & C Roll at home when I was a little less full, oh my days, I’m not even exaggerating. It tasted amazing Ma Shaa Allah. I absolutely loved it, it just tasted so so good! It was definitely one of my favourite things from here and if I go again soon, I know what I’m getting!
Raspberry & Apple mocktails
Drinks wise, we both got the same mocktail. With the afternoon tea, you get a free drink of either tea or coffee. We don’t drink either of those lols. So we got a free mocktail instead. The mocktails tasted really nice, too. Everyone likes a good mocktail, now, don’t they?
And for dessert, we took home:
I didn’t get any decent pictures of these as we ordered these to take out and had them at home. My sister had the milk cake, she loves milk cake and I’ll have to see what she thought of this one – yes, I should have asked her before posting this…I had K’s kake for myself which is a chocolate cake (of course, it’s my favourite) however it didn’t taste the way I expected it to. Nonetheless, I finished it all lool.
You know what I like about this place is that although it has the aesthetic, it doesn’t lack in the food department. Like, some places are so pretty and all that and do well on Instagram bla bla but their food is…mediocre. However RF Patisserie is instagrammable, it has the aesthetic and the food’s delicious Ma Shaa Allah! The staff are friendly too and service is just amazing Ma Shaa Allah. We received our food so so quickly after ordering I was genuinely shocked. It’s not common these days to get your food quickly, so that was a nice surprise.
Would I recommend RF Patisserie?
I’d 100% recommend it! Great food, gorgeous pictures, great staff, fab service & overall just a nice place to go to. And the fact that it’s Halal is definitely a winner! If you do decide to go, or if you’ve been before then please do let me know what you thought of it. Other than that, thank you for reading!
