Yes. It’s true. The police just came to my house. But it’s not as bad as it seems! Allow me to explain.
A few days ago I went out for breakfast in Manchester. I then went and did some shopping & like I said in my ‘Good Day Gone Bad’ blog post, I lost my cardholder. Bank cards, gone. Driving license, gone. Nectar card…gone. You get the point. So I’ve been looking for it everywhere. I’ve asked the local shop owners, went to the local police station & have told everyone I’ve lost it, man I even posted about it on my blog.
So I cancelled my cards. I didn’t yet ring the DVLA, but knew it was on my to do list. My cardholder had gone. The points on my nectar card, I hear you ask about? Well you’d think I could still get my points back, right? No. I hadn’t registered it so unfortunately all those points were gone and I’d have to start again.
Now fast forward to today. I was upstairs when my Mum called me to come downstairs. A policewoman from a local police station close to where I work was here. And what did she have with her? My orange card holder!!! ALHAMDULILLAH I’m soooo happy. I’m so so so grateful alhamdulillah. A local shop owner had handed it in (literally one of the only nearby shops I didn’t ask about my cardholder) alhamdulillah and an amazing policewoman came to give it to me. ALHAMDULILLAH. You know what, I’m so thankful that the shop owner actually handed it in and that the policewoman literally hand delivered it to me. She could have just sent it in the post but she went the extra mile to come and make sure I got it in person. And I’m so grateful for that. And for the shop owners for handing it in to the police. May Allah reward them all with so so so many blessings for their good deeds. Ameen.
So yeah, here’s a feel good story for you! I’m so happy alhamdulillah and now I know I need to get a purse instead of using a silly old cardholder that isn’t made for people like me…
Thank you so much for reading, I hope you enjoyed this post! Did it make you smile? Did it? Did it?
