At the Muslim Lifestyle Expo a while ago, I met the lovely owner of I Treat Skin. I Treat Skin is a company that specialises in skincare and their products have become extremely popular online, with popular bloggers also using and promoting them. Their ‘main’ products I’d say are the Neem cream and the Hydrating cream. Now I’ve never used the Neem cream, however I’ve heard amazing things about how well this works to treat eczema.
But the product I’m going to be talking about today is the Hydrating Cream. Mate. I love it. The Hydrating Creamg is great for acne prone skin (like mine). It is described as ‘soothing and can help reduce skin inflammation, blistering and itchiness while helping the skin to heal more rapidly.’ It’s vegan friendly and is completely Halal, too.
Within three seconds (maybe even two) of opening the tub, I fell in love. Do you know why? Because the cream smells like Terry’s Chocolate Orange *sigh*. The smell is absolutely amazing & the cream itself glides on to the skin very easily. A little goes a long way, so you don’t need to be sticking too much on. The cream contains pure aloe vera gel and orange, which is why it works so well in treating acne and why it smells of orange…because it contains orange. Okay that sounds dumb.
Now in an ideal world (we all know that ain’t this one), I’d wear this every single time I apply my makeup as it’s such an amazing primer. And I have been doing that tbh. However, when I run out I sometimes leave it a while before ordering the cream again, not because I don’t want it, but literally because it slips my mind. So I’ve been using this on and off for the last couple of years and when I don’t wear it I genuinely notice a difference. For example, I’ve not used the cream for a while as mine ran out, then I couldn’t order it and then it went out of stock as it’s so popular but in the end alhamdulillah I managed to get my hands on it again and I wore it once as a moisturiser/primer and the next day my skin looked so much better. Like my spots were reduced so so much and I was literally in shock. I think because I hadn’t used it for quite a while I’d forgotten how well it works and I know my skin just welcomed it with open arms.
But it really is an amazing primer. When we went on holiday last Summer, I didn’t take it with me (I ordered it too late and it arrived after we’d already gone *cries*) and I really did notice a huge difference. It just makes applying makeup easier, and without it, it just doesn’t feel good to apply my makeup.
And as a moisturiser it’s just amazing. In the past, I have definitely noticed spots reducing in size when I use the cream, which is amazing! I’ve repurchased it many, many times and will definitely continue to do so In Shaa Allah. It has become one of my essential makeup items, and now I just need to make sure when it runs out I’ve already got another one waiting for me as it helps so so much.
Disclaimer: the first time I ever used the cream, I was given a sample of it to review, however all opinions are my own and I genuinely am a huge fan of the cream. The fact that I’ve repurchased it so many times and have been using it for the last couple of years should prove that!
The Hydrating Cream costs £10.99 and can be bought from the I Treat Skin website. I’d definitely recommend trying this if you have acne, of course I can’t guarantee it’ll heal your acne overnight (if only, right?) but it definitely does help. And if you do end up buying it, please do let me know what you thought of it and how it works for you.
Thanks for reading! Have you ever tried a 2-in-1 moisturiser and primer? What did you think?
Until next time,
