I recently went to Superdrug and bought some bits and bobs, so thought I’d share all of the things I decided to buy. Enjoy!
First up is the Makeup Revolution Luxury Banana Powder, which I was actually looking into a few months ago. To be honest, I’m not sure what happened with that – okay, I probably just saw it and then forgot about it, let’s be honest.
Anyway, baking. I’ve never tried it before but I really want to, and I don’t want to splash out on the Laura Mercier Translucent Loose Setting Powder just yet, so thought this would be a good alternative. It’s a fraction of the price at just £5. And depending on how well it works, I might not even need to splurge on an expensive powder – here’s hoping!
The most expensive thing I bought was the E.L.F. Cream Contour Palette, which was £7.50. I’ve actually never bought anything from E.L.F. before, but am really intrigued by the brand. I’ve had one of their highlighters recommended to me, so hopefully the contour palette is just as good, if not better. It consists of three cream contours and one cream highlighter, all of which I’m very excited to try out. As soon as I saw the palette, I did a quick Google search to check it wasn’t the worse contour palette in the history of contour palettes – it turns out it wasn’t, which is why I bought it!
Next up is the Collection 2000 Extreme Felt Tip Liner. It’s my standard eyeliner, which I was running low on, so had to get a top up. If you’re into felt tip liners, I’d definitely recommend this one – it stays on all day and is just £2.99.
Last but not least is the Makeup Revolution Pro Fix Oil Control Fixing Spray. Again, I’ve never used a setting spray before, so there’s no point splashing out on the Urban Decay one, really, when I have a £5 alternative, which may be better to start off with. And who knows, this one might even be better for me!
And that’s everything! I’m really looking forward to testing out these products and maybe even reviewing them, too. If not on the blog, I might do some mini reviews on my Instagram. I hope they don’t disappoint!
Have you bought any of these products before? What did you think?
I’m also hosting a giveaway on Twitter, where you could win the gorgeous 8 piece Unicorn Brush Set I posted my first impressions on a while ago. All you have to do is head over to my Twitter and follow the instructions in the pinned tweet. The giveaway ends on 15th August, so hurry!
