10 Minute Blog Post

10 minutes on the clock, starting now.

I haven’t had the chance to post much recently, as you’ll know if you’re a regular reader, because I’ve been so busy with exams and assignments and all the uni stuff that comes with…well, being at uni. So, for my first post after I’m done with all that uni stuff, I thought I’d do something a little different.

Truth be told, I just had the idea a little while ago of doing a ’10 minute blog post’ so that’s what I’m doing. I’m just going to type whatever for ten minutes and press post, no editing, just completely spontaneous, as I think that’s the way to go. This is probably a good idea for those of you (that are also bloggers), that are really busy and don’t have much time to create content. Just set yourself 10 minutes and write whatever.

So, as I said, I’ve just finished uni and am off until late September now. Wahooo. There are so many things I want to do this Summer, like find an internship (if you know of any going at the moment, please let me know!) and focus on my blog and just focus on actually doing stuff, you know? I want to have a productive Summer where I’m making use of my time and not just spending all my time in bed, being lazy and getting fat.

I’ve started using Depop (follow me here if you want) and am having a huge clear out as thee are sooo many things that are just scattered around, doing nothing and it’s about time they found a new home. If you’re interested in anything I’m selling, just let me know as I’m accepting (reasonable) offers.

So, yeah, this is kinda wierd, tbh. Now I know I have a time limit and have no idea when it ends, I don’t even know what to type. My mind’s almost gone blank. Almost. Don’t worry, I’ll see what’s still in there.

Ooh, I’m at home in Manchester for the holidays now and actually wish I’d done more stuff in London now as I won’t be there properly in quite a while. I’m hopefully going to London for a couple of days soon, though, so that will be fun.

I’m definitely glad to be home for the holidays, though. It’s so nice to spend time with family and friends and not have that exam stress and the worries of all those upcoming deadlines. Aaaah.

One thing I want to do more of is – 1O MINUTES ARE UP.

That went a lot quicker than I thought, to be honest. Just as I was getting into it, the timer went. I thought I’d be able to write more in 10 minutes tbh, but I guess I was wrong.

Anyway, I’m going to publish this post now, like I said. Let me know if this is something you enjoyed reading! Of course, as this is only the first ’10 minute post’ I’ve done (possibly the first of many?), it was almost like an introduction, so I didn’t get to say as much as I’d like.

So, yeah, if you’d like me to do more of these (they’ll be better than this one – you have my word), then let me know and I’ll get one up in a week or two, and I’ll even finish my sentence about what I want to do more of. *smirky face*

Thank you for reading!

1 Week Mary x

  1. I enjoyed reading this lovely! I actually love the idea of writing whilst you set yourself a ten minute timer! Writing about whatever comes to your mind is great sometimes, you can express yourself and say whatever you’re feeling. And don’t even get me started on how great it is that uni is finished! I’m just happy that I can take a break! Also, I’m obsessed with your blog omg, I’m truly shook!

  3. 10 minute blog post is such an interesting concept! You literally have ten minutes to right something! I know I would not be able to do it coz I am so talkative ahah! Uni does take a lot of time, especially with exams and stuff! Now that you’re off, you’ll be back online, good to hear! have fun on holiday! xx corinne

  4. That was such a creative blog post, I haven’t seen that be done before and I absolutely loved it. I loved the simplicity of setting aside 10 minutes and writing what ever came to mind. I’d love to see more of this.
