You may already have come across this highlighter before & might even be sat there rolling your eyes thinking “daaamn girl that’s so last year”. But, tbh I’ve never really bothered finding an amazing highlighter or anything – I’ve been using the Sleek powder one that comes with the contour which was recommended to me a while back. It does the job, I guess, however it’s slowly finishing and I thought it was time to make the effort and go looking for a highlighter that I actually liked.
So, yesterday off I went to Superdrug and had a look around for a powdered highlighter. I find it so much easier to use powdered highlight and contour (not that I’ve actually tried using cream or anything…) but the hassle of it all just sounds too much for a lazy get-ready-quick-so-you-can-sleep-longer student like me.
I wasn’t doing the best job of finding one so asked the lady what she would recommend. She said the Makeup Revolution Vivid Baked Highlighter was a good one and was also one of their best sellers. I tested a sample of the shade Golden Lights and instantly fell in love. There were some other shades, too, but I was drawn to this one immediately.
Golden Lights is a gold shimmery shade & looks so so good! It’s really pigmented and apparently lasts quite a while, so you’ll need minimal top ups. I honestly cannot wait to try it. The absolute best part is that it won’t break the bank as it’s only £3. You’d never be able to tell, though, as it definitely looks a lot more expensive. Now, I just hope it lives up to my expectation and brings to light those cheekbones I know are hiding in there somewhere.
You can buy this highlighter, in Golden Lights and other shades, here.
What’s your go-to highlighter? Have you used this one before?
