You may already know that I recently launched Secret Events UK and last week we hosted our first blogger event, which I’ll be sharing a post on veryyyyy soon. In the mean time, I thought I’d share the contents of the goody bags and the prizes we had on offer with you all. Enjoy!
I met the lovely Varta reps at the Bloggers Festival and got talking to them about Secret Events UK. Next thing you know, hey presto, we’ve got power packs for everyone. Power packs, for me, are essential as I’m always running out of battery on my iPhone, and these work really well. One of my favourite things is that they’re already ready to use as soon as you open them. Plus, the colours are gorgeous, aren’t they?
Next, Victoria from Lylia Rose was kind enough to provide lifetime discount codes to everyone, which will definitely come in handy for me as they have some gorgeous items, from scarves, to jewellery to clothes, too.
We also had the Wild Rose Beauty Balm from Neal’s Yard Remedies. If you aren’t aware of NYR, they sell organic skincare products – most of which are vegan – and use natural remedies for skin-related issues. They happily sent out some goody bags which contained the beauty balm in, as well as some extra samples and literature. A big thank you to NYR for sending everything out at such short notice!
Montagne Jeunesse provided some Dead Sea Peel off face masks, which sound amazing. I’ve used their masks before and let me tell you, they’re sooo good, they’ll leave your face feeling soft, refreshed and clean and did I mention soft?! You can read my review of their Argan Oil Mud Mask here.
Belinda from Belinda’s Handbags and Accessories also kindly provided some gorgeous jewellery for the goody bags. There were sparkly earrings, rings and bracelets. Belinda has a range of gorgeous accessories and jewellery, both for casual days and for special occasions, too.
Now, on to the prizes. The event was a scavenger hunt, and the prizes were for the winning team. Well, everyone got a prize, but the winners got to choose theirs first!
Described as “one of the best British thriller writers around”, David Harrison, aka Tom Bale, was kind enough to provide some copies of his debut novel, Sins of the Father. I’ve read Tom’s See How They Run (you can find the review of it here), and it really is one of the best thrillers I’ve read. Sins of the Father is another thriller about a man figuring out who his father really was and who he definitely wasn’t…
Belinda kindly provided some extra goodies for prizes, too.
Montagne Jeunesse provided extra face masks for prizes, too.
As well as discount codes, Lylia Rose provided a gorgeous pink scarf for a prize for one lucky winner, too.
And those were the goody bag contents and prizes for the event! You’ll see a post on the actual event very soon.
Last but not least, a huge thank you to everyone who provided goodies for the event – we loved them all!
*ALL ITEMS MENTIONED WERE PROVIDED FROM BRANDS/INDIVIDUALS TO FEATURE IN THE GOODY BAGS/AS PRIZES, HOWEVER ALL OPINIONS ARE MY OWN.
