FINDING TIME WHEN YOU’RE TOO BUSY

We all get busy at times. Some people are constantly so busy and don’t have time to do many things, myself included. I’ve been so busy recently and I’ve not had time to blog, so I thought I’d create a list of ways for us all to find time when we’re just too busy. Whether that’s time to blog, to see our family/friends, or just some down time, here are 4 ways to find time when we’re just too busy:

Wake up earlier

If you’re waking up at 10am, wake up at 8. If you’re waking up at 8am,wake up at 6. Just adding a couple of extra hours to your day can work wonders – you have two whole hours (or maybe even more) to get some stuff done, and you might even get a minute to yourself later on. In fact, it doesn’t even have to be that much; even waking up half an hour earlier means you have extra time to do something you normally wouldn’t be able to.

Prioritise

You’ve planned your whole day out, but at the last minute you remembered there was something you NEEDED to do today. See what can be done tomorrow and make time to fit in the urgent task.

It’s all about prioritiesΒ [Tweet this]

Utilise the time you do have

You want to get healthier but you don’t have time to go to the gym? Here’s what to do: when you’re sat in front of the telly watching Corrie, just do 100 star jumps. And in the break, run up and down the stairs or jog on the spot until the break’s over. Another example is to be doing something when you’re waiting in a queue, or when you’re travelling. You needed to send an email but don’t have internet? Draft it. Write down what you want to send and then once you do have access to internet, just copy and paste and send it off.

Team activities up

If you have multiple things you need to do, do them all together. For example, if you need to send a parcel off before 5 but told your friend you’d meet them at 4, take the parcel with you and go for a coffee or something later. Another example could be that if you have an interview at 2 but need to write a blog post for that day, write about your interview or interview tips you’ve learned over the years. It’s like the popular saying goes;Β you get two for the price of one.

And that’s all for now, I hope you enjoyed reading! It’d be a little hypocritical of me to write this post and then continue to moan about how I don’t have time for blogging, so the challenge I’m going to set for myself is to make time to blog, no matter how busy I am. How do you think I’ll do?

And just before I go, here’s a little question for you: what do you do to find time on your busiest days?

  1. I have the mantra that everything can be done. My biggest problem is I complain that I’m too busy and panic about it. When I calm down I realise that I can get everything done! If I stopped spending so much time thinking I was busy I’d probably be much more efficient!

    1. This is so me! Whenever I have a lot to do I put it off because I don’t even know where to start, but then the realiy of it is that when I do start, I actually CAN get it done & so can you! I think we put too much pressure on ourselves & then if we don’t do something we take it to heart when really we shouldn’t & we should understand that there will be times when things go wrong, or don’t go according to plan but we just need carry on working hard & we can get everything done! Thank you for reading xxxx

  2. Thank you for writing this!! Honestly exactly what I needed! Time management is my biggest problem in life and good to know someone else is conquering it! Great tips πŸ™‚ x

    1. Thank you so much for saying that, I’m so glad you found them useful! I hope these tips can come in handy, we all need a little push from time to time, ESP when it comes to time management, but don’t worry, you CAN do it! Xxxx

  3. Love this! I totally agree with ‘say yes and you’ll figure it all out later’. But starting a new job when I work 12 hour days and get up at 530 am is kind of taking up most of my time… So my goal is to do 20 minutes of exercise 3 times a week just to try and get back into it lol! (next week I’ll be like..naaah haha) TGG xoxo

    1. Oh wow that’s a lotttt of work, go you! I hope your doing well with your goal, if you are then yayyyyyy keep it up! If not, then don’t worry you STILL CAN do it! Either way you can smash it girl πŸ˜€ hope your new job’s going great & thank you for reading xxx
