CONFESSION TIME

Today, I thought I’d do a fun little interactive post. I’m going to get you to tell me your deepest darkest secrets. Just kidding!

However, I am going to ask you to confess something to me. It’s completely anonymous, so I’ll never know who you are, and neither will anyone else.

Go on, tell me about that embarrassing moment you had all those years ago, tell me something you’ve never told anyone. Just don’t tell me you’re a murderer, please, because I’ll never sleep again!

To kick things off, here are a few confessions of my own:

  1. I never learned how to swim.
  2. A couple of years ago, I accidentally smashed the screen of my Samsung Galaxy S3 and then dropped it again and then it completely stopped working. My parents then gave me a brick phone (remember those) and I accidentally smashed that when I was closing the car doors. Yep, don’t trust me with your phone.
  3. In my first ever interview a couple of years ago, I was asked what skill I lacked. I said I lacked leadership. The interviewer was so lovely and gave me another chance; he elaborated, saying yes, actually that is a good question (the intern had asked it), and he asked me again. I flippin said leadership again. Yes, I told my potential-could-have-been-boss that I lacked leadership. Twice.

Embarrassing, right? But I just think it’s so important not to take yourself too seriously sometimes. I mean, okay, I messed up my interview, but it wasn’t the end of the world! You just learn from your mistakes and move on. I told everyone I knew and we all had a good laugh about it. What can I say, I’m hilarious! (I’m joking, I promise I’m not vain!)

Now it’s your turn:

Let’s have some fun with this. I can’t wait to read your confessions!

  1. I’m excited to see people’s confessions too! I think it says a lot about how far you’ve come as a person when you look back on the silly things we used to do!

  2. This is such a brilliant idea! Can’t wait to read everyone’s embarrassing stories 🙂 I’ll have a think and see if there’s anything publishable among my MANY mishaps 😉 xx

    1. Oooh I’m excited, on my way to check it right now! & exactly, we shouldn’t be living our lives so seriously (well we should at times) but it’s always fun to look back and laugh at silly times! Thanks for getting involved! Xx

    1. Really? I didn’t know that, & they’re so intimidating aren’t they! My dad always tells me “you know what, the interviewer’s just a person, they’re just like you” hope that helps! Xx
