1 WEEK WITH A VIRTUAL LISTENING BOOTH

Everyone has things in their lives that they keep bottled up inside them for so long, and eventually they come to a breaking point. Believe me, I know. The best thing to do is to talk to God and He will help you; even if you think He isn’t helping you, I promise you,Β He is.

Another thing that can really help you feel better is to speak to someone and open up about your feelings, so for 1 week, I’m going to be having a ‘virtual listening booth’ where you can open up about things you’ve been keeping inside you for so long, things you’ve wanted to tell people for so long, things in your life that you’re just not happy with and things that you’ve just accepted as the norm because you just feel helpless. And I will listen. I’ll read and I’ll advise you in any way I can, but understand that it’s YOUR time to talk, it’s your chance to open up; it’s all about you.

It can be about anything – big or small, something that’s been playing on your mind for years or something that’s been bothering you recently – talk it out. Think agony aunt on steroids (not actual steroids!); I’ll give you the best advice I can, but we’ll continue going back and forth until you want to stop. In fact, it doesn’t even have to be something that’s bothering you. If you just want to tell someone about your day, about something that happened that made you feel really happy or really down, that’s exactly what I’m here for. I’ll listen.

You don’t have to mention your name – it can be anonymous – or if you want to, then by all means do feel free to enter your name. Either way, I will not disclose any of what you tell me in confidence, and will keep it to myself (unless you’re planning on breaking the law or are putting someone or yourself at risk).Β However, please do leave your email so I can respond, and I will not disclose your email to anyone.

I, personally, feel like sometimes it’s just better, as well as easier, to open up to a stranger because they don’t know about your past/your family/friends, so they’re advising you only on what you tell them. Also, you can get an outside perspective which people in your inside circle (friends/family) may not be seeing.

From me, there’ll be:

No judging

No negativity

And I’ll give you the best advice I can.

So what do I get out of it?

The reason I’m doing this listening this booth is because I love to help people. I know how difficult it can be when you keep things to yourself and you so desperately want to open up to people but you don’t know who or how to. I’m also currently getting trained on how to be a coach, and one of the things I’ve learnt is that you have to listen. So listen I shall.

Just fill out the form below or leave me an email at 1weekmary@gmail.com with reference to the listening booth and I’ll get back to you as quickly as I can.

Alternatively, if you’re interested in getting coached/would like to know more, just drop me an email and I’ll get back to you as soon as I can.

Sometimes you just need someone to listen. Don’t you?

Love,

1 Week Mary x

  1. Love this and the whole idea! It’s so nice that you want to go out of your way to help people like this. And you’re totally right, it is easier to open up to someone you don’t know for all the reasons you listed. An outside perspective is definitely something I seek when I’m struggling with something… If I get stuck with something I’m gonna let you know!!

    1. Thanks a lot, I’m really glad you like it & I definitely agree, it’s just SO much easier and you can be completely honest, without worrying about hurting someone’s feeling unintentionally. Yess, even if you’re just looking for someone to lend an ear, I’m here! Thanks for commenting I really appreciate it Xxx
