As I’m trying to get more organised, I thought I’d set some goals for my blog this month (you can read my top tips on getting organised here). This way, I know what I’m working towards and what I want to have achieved by the end of the month.

Get into a routine
Up until now, I’ve been posting on random days of the week, like I might post two days in a row and then again after three days, and if that’s what you do then that’s fine. But I, personally, want to get into the habit of posting 4 times a week: every Monday, Wednesday, Friday and Sunday.

Focus on my 1 Weekers
When making my blog, the aim was to do be doing different things every week, like making £100 in a week or a week as a stylist. So far I’ve read a best seller a day for a week and am going to focus on doing some more 1 Weekers this month – they’ll be uploaded every other Sunday.

Do posts in advance
I want to get into the habit of scheduling posts instead of just doing them the night before. I’ll hopefully always be spontaneous with my posts, but want to have some already prepared and ready to be posted.

Start using Instagram again
I stopped blogging for a few months because of the stress of university and exams, and with that I stopped using my Instagram too. The only thing is when I started blogging and tweeting again, I didn’t start using Instagram again – that’ll hopefully be changing soon! You can follow my Twitter by clicking here and my Instagram by clicking here.

Create an ‘About’ page
When people want to see an overview of what your blog’s about, they’ll most likely go to the About page, which is why I need to create one. When I posted my first post in January, I posted a simple post titled “Hello” with a couple of paragraphs about my blog. 6 months later, I think it’s time to create an actual About page.

You can see my About page here.

Host my first giveaway for 1 Week Mary’s 6 month anniversary
On 4th January 2016, I published my first post. It’s been almost 6 months and time has just flown. I haven’t been blogging as consistently as I would like to have been and you might have realised I took a big break due to exams, stress etc, however I’m definitely back into the swing of things now! My blog’s 6 month anniversary seems like the perfect time to host my first giveaway.

You can find out how to participate in my giveaway by clicking here.

And those are my goals for July. Have you set your monthly goals? Let me know how they’re going!

  1. Hi lovely
These are such great goals, I’m totally with you on trying to get into some kind of blog schedule – without one I end up posting three days in a row and then not at all for 2 weeks, which is not good! I’m aiming to do three a week (Mon, Wed & Fri) with a possible bonus post on the weekend if I feel like it. We’ll have to keep each other motivated to stick to it!
Also, it took me about 2 months to actually write my ‘about’ page, it’s so scary isn’t it! But well done for getting it done so quickly – you’re smashing the July goals already
